Breathtaking scenery awaits you!

Athabasca Falls PhotoThe Icefields Parkway takes you on an unforgettable 140 mile scenic drive through Banff and Jasper National Parks in Canada. See breathtaking turquoise colored lakes similar to Lake Louise, walk on a glacier at the Columbia Icefields, and see amazing waterfalls like Athabasca Falls.

Hike on some of the 600 miles of trails that Banff and Jasper Parks have to offer. Visitors of all ages will love the scenic lakeshore trails around Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. Another popular trail is Johnston Canyon. It is an easy walk that runs along the rushing water where you will see some spectacular waterfalls. Go through a natural tunnel to a viewing area where you can feel the mist. Bow Summit is the highest point on the parkway and from the trail you will get a view of the beautiful Peyto Lake, Peyto glacier and Mistaya Valley.

Columbia Icefields PhotoAlong the parkway, stop at the Crowfoot Glacier viewpoint and see the ice hanging down over the cliff. You will also see the weeping wall, which is a waterfall on a giant wall of rock, which is at its most spectacular in the early spring.

Enjoy the many amazing sights and keep your eyes open along the parkway because there is a good chance you will see a variety of wildlife, such as grizzly and black bears, elk, moose, mountain goats, bighorn sheep and caribou.

After a long day spent exploring, plan to stay at the conveniently located Hinton / Jasper KOA. There is so many things to see, you will want to plan to stay a while!
